The weather across the country has been cold and grey, and Storm Gareth is bringing winds of up to 80mph to some parts of the country. With all that going on, it’s understandable that no one is thinking about keeping the heat out of their homes. Because of changeable weather like ours, it’s easy to forget just how warm it can get during the summer. Especially, when we’re in the middle of a week-long storm. However, don’t forget that last year’s summer was declared to be the joint hottest on record, with the MET office issuing heat warnings and recommending that people stay inside.
Why is it important to think about this now?
Many people leave thinking about blinds until the summer. This is when they’re reminded just how hot a conservatory or extension can get during a heatwave. Unfortunately, this is often too late to do anything about it; by the time they’ve looked at:
- The different options
- Compared quotations
- Come to a decision
- Ordered the blinds
- Waited for the blinds to be made and fitted
Before you know it, the heatwave is over!
Why not think about blinds now, when the weather is colder and before the longer evenings have properly started?
