Perfecting Neat Gable Blinds

Posted: 15 Jan 2018

Gables are a very tricky part of a conservatory to cover neatly, as their triangular shape requires a very specific type of blind that not all companies can offer. This recent installation of conservatory blinds in Dorset highlights just how neatly we can fit gable blinds. On this occasion we used our unique pureaspect™ Gable Blind system with stunning Duette® fabrics.

Our pureaspect™ blinds are designed to neatly retract at the top of the gable. All cabling is neatly concealed. As a result, you can enjoy your views without any unsightly cords or cables across the glazing.

Neat Gable Blinds

As you can see from this close-up photo, we were able to make gable blinds that neatly fit into the space. The blinds themselves are fitted so that the gap between them is as small as possible. If you look closely at the top of the photo, you will also see that the blinds have been designed to work around the top frame of the conservatory.

We can only create and fit gable blinds that look this neat thanks to our years of experience in dealing with shapes like this. We originally launched our pureaspect™ Gable Blind system in 2010. In the years since then we’ve been able to improve and expand the types of shapes we are able to cover with our blinds, resulting in neat installations like the one you see here.

Alongside the gable blinds, we also fitted matching Duette® Blinds into the roof and sides of the conservatory. The customer opted for Porcini coloured rails throughout to make the blinds look like a natural part of the room. We manufacture rails in 12 standard colours so that you can match the colour of your conservatory frame.

A Happy Customer

The customers had previously been in contact with us last year looking for blinds for their studio room, which also included a gable. After being so pleased with the blinds that we fitted last year, they got back in contact. They asked us to fit very similar blinds to their conservatory.

Because the two rooms were close together; we were actually able to add the new conservatory blinds to the existing remote control box. Consequently this meant that the customers could control all of their blinds for both rooms from one single handset. This is only possible with our unique pure™ remote control system; which is designed to control up to 99 blinds.

If you have a gable; whether it’s part of a conservatory or on it’s own in an extension or loft conversion, then we’re here to help. We have a wide range of styles and colours that are suitable for gable blinds. Our experts can offer advice to help you find the best blinds to suit your needs.
