Orangeries have become a popular renovation choice in many homes around the UK. As said by luxury bespoke builder and orangery designer Westbury: “In recent years has led to a huge rise in homeowners opting for contemporary timber framed garden rooms and orangeries. Combining balanced design with flawless functionality; a garden room or orangery extension is still the height of luxury and carries an air of sumptuous elegance.”
Add an extra special touch to your Orangery
This year we fitted our pure™ pleated blinds within a beautiful orangery in Leicester. Our blinds help to add an extra special touch to a timber-framed room. This orangery featured both a lantern roof and set of bi-folding doors.
pureduo™ Remote Control Roof Blinds
This image shows our pureduo™ remote control roof blinds with Buttermilk fabric and grey micro-cables, as well as grey drive cords. The infill blinds are required because the roof boss extends significantly over the glass. So, a cut-out would have been impossible. Our pureduo™ system can control up to 36 blinds in 2 zones with group and simultaneous operation. For these reasons, they are ideal for large glazed roofs, where no individual operation is required.
pure™ Pleated Folding Door Blinds
The customer opted for our manual pure™ pleated blinds for their bi fold doors with the same fabric colour as the roof so they both matched accordingly. Thanks, to our unique pure™ technology we were able to recess-fit the blinds to the timber folding doors. This means the doors can be folded back easily, without the blinds interfering with the operation.
pure™ Pleated Window Blinds
Likewise, these pure™ pleated window blinds can be extended to provide shade and privacy, even when the windows are open, all without blocking the ventilation. Additionally, our pure™ pleated window blinds are available in a wide range of colours. Consequently, the blinds can be tailored to the decor of your orangery so they look like part of the room. Instead of the blinds looking like a afterthought.
This outdoor shot of this orangery shows how the back of the fabric is the same colour as the inside, and not a shiny silver colour like other fabrics, because external appearances matter too. This means your orangery can look just as good from the outside as it does in the inside.
Finally, we would remind you that these photographs were taken 10 months after the blinds were installed, yet they still look like new. Believe it or not, this compares exceptionally well to much lower priced blinds on the market which commonly look tired and well-used within their first year. In fact, if you browse our image gallery, you will find a few photographs taken more 2+ years after installation, and they still look exceptional.
