Vertical blinds are a common shading solution for everyday workplaces or any standard windows. However, as a specialist, we’ve elevated vertical blinds to the next level. We can create shaped verticals for angled windows or gable blinds. With our bespoke vertical blinds, we also ensure the louvres of your vertical blinds won’t fall back against gravity like they often do with cheaper alternatives. Furthermore, you have the option to install electric vertical blinds with a variety of control options and fabrics. One of our more notable fabric types is our vertical dim-out blinds (otherwise known as blackout vertical blinds) which are useful cost-effective options for bedroom blinds and we also offer unique patterns to accent any room.
What are the benefits of electric vertical blinds?
As you can see from the video below, our electric blinds run smoothly and these operate with a simple click of a remote. With the trackpad, you can also tilt and turn the louvres of your vertical blinds to your exact specifications, from afar. Many people like that vertical blinds give you three shading options…
- You can have your verticals fully extended across your window but with the louvres flat towards you, so they conceal as much light as possible.
- Tilting the louvres 90 degrees lets you see out your window with dappled shading and an only slightly obscured view.
- Lastly, you can retract your verticals entirely so they form a stack on one side of your glazing or in the centre of it. This way allows you to see your whole view without obstruction.
Electric vertical blinds are also great for covering large areas of glazing as they are a simple cost-effective solution for areas like sliding doors or as blinds for apex shaped windows.
Can I install electric vertical blinds on my gable window?
We provide several different blinds for apex windows and they each have their own positives and negatives. However, we majorly recommend Duette® gable blinds for an angled window as they retract way extremely neatly. We developed unique pureaspect™ technology to ensure we use a minimal amount of blinds for triangular windows. Duette® blinds for apex windows fold neatly into a stack on the slope of your window and leave your view entirely visible. However, even with bespoke vertical blinds, there will always be a visible stack on one side of your glazing. Some people are happy to overlook this due to the price difference between each option. Vertical blinds also give you the option to tilt your louvres for partial shading which many people tend to enjoy around their home. By installing verticals on your standard glazing as well as your gable blinds you can create a more cohesive finish and control them with the same electrics for simple usage.
Types of motorisation for Vertical Blinds
Your electric vertical blinds can be controlled a variety of ways with our remote control blinds and smart blinds . Having electric blinds gives you the option to control several blinds in different zones all at once or individually from a distance. This ranged control can be a simple addition that means you don’t have to leave your bed to shut your blinds at night or can help you if physically operating blinds is difficult.
