It’s not always an easy decision between free-hanging or recess fitted blinds. Here, everything to keep in mind when it comes to free-hanging bifold door blinds.
If your room suffers from too much glare but you want fresh air, free-hanging window blinds can diffuse the light without losing the breeze.

There are a range of ways to operate free-hanging bifold door blinds depending on size. The LiteRise® child safe system is ideal for manual operation as it can be used in blinds up to 3.6m wide. We also have a full range of electric blinds for bifold doors, including smart operation and full home automation integration.
Dim-out fabrics are available for our range of free-hanging folding door blinds. While it is possible to use dim-out fabrics for recessed bifold door blinds, we do not recommend this as the heat build up could potentially damage the glass on the doors.
If your folding doors open internally (so that the doors fold into the room instead of the outside), you can still have both recessed and free-hanging blinds. The only difference with internally opening doors is that you cannot have a free-hanging blind extended while the doors are open, as they would interfere with their operation.
