Duette® Blinds with pure™ Technology

Posted: 10 May 2019

Blinds are a significant part of any home, adding that finishing touch to your design vision and boasting many other advantages. Among these, improving the amount of privacy in your home (particularly at night) and helping to shade the room by controlling the amount of light entering through the glazing. At Specialist Blinds, we have a variety of unique blinds that are perfect for any space. In our lineup of beautifully bespoke blinds, the products with Duette® Pleated fabrics are some of the most popular blinds we sell. It’s not hard to see why:

  • The fabric can control heat and light.
  • Their unique honeycomb structure helps to control temperatures all year round.
  • We use Duette® fabrics with our own pure™ Technology to create neat-fitting blinds.
  • They add a modern but sophisticated decoration to any glass extension.

We don’t expect you to just take our word for it. Our video highlights show just how versatile the combination of our unique technologies and the Duette® fabrics are:

Can you Fit Duette® Pleated Blinds Within…

A Conservatory

We developed our pure Blinds technology to seamlessly fit blinds into conservatories. Consequently, we can install blinds for more unusual shapes found in conservatory roofs. As the Duette® fabric became increasingly popular, we could use our existing technology to create Duette® Conservatory Blinds that fit like no other on the market. Originally, Duette® fabrics suited simple square or rectangular shapes. However, we can now fit Duette® blinds into a wide variety of different shapes in a conservatory.

A Glass Extension

This combination of technology extends out beyond just conservatory blinds. We can also use the Duette® fabrics in other types of glazing. Duette® Fabrics are great for folding door blinds. This is because we can fit them into each panel of the door, guaranteeing that they don’t interfere with the operation of the doors while still providing shading.

Additionally, Duette® Lantern Roof blinds are becoming increasingly popular, as they are a neat and simple way to shade a room with a number of windows. During the summer we were contacted by a Mr & Mrs A in Wickford, Essex. They were looking for blinds for a lantern roof they had as part of an orangery.

After speaking with a member of our sales team, they opted for Duette® Blinds with an individual layout. This means we fitted a blind next to each pane of glass instead of horizontally across the bottom of the lantern.

As soon as we had fitted their new blinds, they were so impressed with the work done that they left a lovely review on our Checkatrade page:

“From start until finish it was a pleasure to deal with this company.

There was no hard sell just lots of information about the products and lots of samples to help us choose. Matt came and did the survey and gave us a date when he would fit them. He came today and fitted them, and we couldn’t be more pleased. He has done a wonderful job and cleared everything away after.

We are very pleased with the quality of the blinds and the fitting. I would recommend them to anyone.”

Gable Shaped Windows

Duette® fabrics are also brilliant at covering awkward shaped glazing such as large gable shaped windows. This type of window is becoming increasingly popular  in new renovations and self build properties. They tend to feature at the front of homes or within in bedrooms. This means many customers are now looking ways to reduce glare and increase privacy in their home. When paired with our unique aspect™ system, the Duette® fabric can help to tackle these issues, as well as offering a neat finish with minimal blinds needed to cover gable shaped windows.

A recent customer from Manchester had our Duette® pleated blinds installed for both his conservatory roof and side windows. Mr R was not only impressed with the fabric but also the overall experience.

First class. Duette® pleated blinds fitted covering all obtuse shapes. Estimates were more competitive than the so called top brand. The fitter was the surveyor, so they take responsibility for their own mistakes, if any. None were made. The flush window finish was delightful.
