Thanks to our years of experience making blinds for conservatories; we can fit individual blinds into any complex shaped glazing within most glass extensions. This includes:
Consequently, Our individual Duette® and pure™ pleated blinds can cover almost any shaped glazing; which other companies would normally leave uncovered! This includes small narrow windows found within conservatories and roof vents found in glazed roofs.
Small Window Blinds
As you can see from the image below, some conservatories have very narrow panes of glass (this was only just over 50mm wide or 2) and yet we can manufacture and install a neatly recessed operational window blind, where no-one else can. Of course you could always leave these small blinds out completely; but that would ruin the appearance and make it appear unfinished and cheap… almost like you hadn’t bothered.
Thanks, to our unique pure™ pleated blinds, we can not only make narrow blinds but they also sit neatly over the glazing beads, with no ugly gaps that would be very obvious on a blind that small. And it doesn’t end there: the pure™ pleated blinds are removable with no specialist tools. This means customer customers can wash them easily, to maintain their as-new appearance. Plus, the coloured rails and components blend beautifully with the wood effect, creating a truly built-in appearance. Only Specialist Blinds can make blinds that look like part of the conservatory, because we are the only specialists to have designed an entire range of blind systems specifically for UK conservatories.
Triangular Narrow Shaped Windows
Additionally, glass extensions and conservatories often feature many awkward triangular shaped windows. As a result, we originally designed the pure™ pleated blinds to tackle this problem in conservatories. However, they work just the same for lantern roofs within orangeries. They offer perfect fit shaped blinds that look like they are meant to be there, rather than an afterthought. We make our shaped blinds to fit any roof or window with a superb neat precision and cover more of the glass than a generic blind. We can make our shaped roof blinds up to 59mm wide at the apex.
Roof Vent Windows
Similarly, many lantern roofs and conservatory roofs feature roof vent windows. Many install roof vents to help circulate air in the room. However, when it comes to covering them with blinds most other companies cannot offer a solution. There are number of different ways to cover roof vents, depending on the situation we will have a solution. One way we can offer a solution is by installing split-draw blinds over the roof vents (blinds that pull from each end and meet either side of the vent screw). https://www.instagram.com/p/B6DcReQHdTd/ Â
